How did we Decrease Time for Task Completion across the product?


What was the Challenge?

Many of RoadSync's users, particularly brokers and carriers, are often small, family-run businesses that are hesitant to adopt new technologies. Our UX team focused on showcasing the tangible benefits of RoadSync by simplifying payment processes, streamlining expense management, and offering user-friendly features that improve efficiency and create a seamless experience for both businesses and their drivers.

The Solution

After confirming the need of users during monthly customer call shadows and interviews we determined the best approach would be to provide a easy way for drivers, carriers, brokers, and warehouses to receive their funds faster overall. ensuring a seamless and efficient parking process.


Key Initiatives

  • Decreased the time it takes for payments to settle.
  • Allowed drivers to easily submit expense reports.
  • Provided seamless payment processing options.
  • Allowed fast-onboarding of brokers & carriers to manage payments.
  • Offered Instant Payouts for Drivers on payday.

After capturing feedback from in-person walk-on sessions and virtual conversations with business owners we landed on a path forward for multiple features. The service map below is for the service mapping of the invoice creation and payment.



Managing Cross-Functional Work


As UX design matures, the duties & responsibilities don't always stop at just the UX research, Visual Design, and Interaction Hand-off for development. In an effort to ensure successful feature development UX managed end-to-end development.



Final Results, Outcomes, and Learnings


While the work at Roadsync was challenging we were able to deliver a number of key deliverables that helped the company move forward in the right direction. The amount of detail, research, and effort that went into the project was a great learning experience and a testament to the power of a small but MIGHTY team of scrappy individuals.
